The Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association recognized High School District 230 with several awards including its highest honor, the Golden Achievement Award, at a luncheon on Friday, Sept. 24.
Superintendent Dr. James M. Gay, Assistant Superintendent Brenda Reynolds and Director of Communications Carla Erdey accepted the Golden Achievement Award for the Successful Schools–Successful Students Summit on behalf of the district. INSPRA's highest honor recognizes best practices in every aspect of a school's public relations effort and is judged by members of the Chicago Chapter of Public Relations Society of America.
The district and high schools were also recognized for high quality communications including: Karin Yahl and Carla Erdey for Sandburg Pride newsletter, Laurel DeGonia and Carla Erdey for Charger Pride newsletter, Marcia Gustavson and Carla Erdey for Andrew Pride newsletter, Carla Erdey for Annual Review, and Carla Erdey and Dr. James M. Gay for Successful Schools–Successful Students Podcast Series.
