What is one essential you must have when studying?
I must have quiet when I study because I can be easily distracted.
What do you like to do when not in school or studying?
I like to hang out with my family and friends and enjoy my time by being outside or going to the movies and the mall. I love being social and having the time to relax and have fun so when I get this chance I take advantage of it.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is communications and public relations in the field of fashion. I've always had a passion for fashion and style, plus working with people. So if I could combine the two into a job that also paid well that would be awesome!
What are some of your most played songs on your ipod?
I like everything when it comes to music especially hip/hop, country, and alternative. My most listened to artists are Mat Kearney, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Akon, A Rocket to the Moon, Lee DeWyze, and Rascal Flatts.
What is one thing people don't know about you?
Even though I'm a girly girl, I love being outside and playing wiffle ball and catch football in the summer.
Whom do you look up to and why?
I look up to my mom because she is an incredible woman who inspires me everyday. She's the hardest worker I know and whenever I need her, she is always there for me. My mom has helped me become the person I am today, and without her I do not know where I would be. She is my rock and has instilled in me and my siblings an unshakable faith and the tools we need to be successful. I'm very lucky to have an irreplaceable mom like mine in my life.
What do you keep under your bed?
Under my bed, I keep all my old stuffed animals from when I was younger.
Who is your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher is my junior year English teacher, Mr. DeLaurentis. He has a great outgoing and fun personality, and his class is one I always looked forward to my junior year. Mr. DeLaurentis taught me everything I needed to know for English while making his class enjoyable with a fun atmosphere and great stories the students could all connect with. He is a great teacher who loves what he does!
What's your favorite class and why?
My favorite class is my Dominican preaching religion class. I'm one of five senior preachers at Marian Catholic which is a Dominican high school. During class, we plan school prayer services, discuss current books we are reading, reflect on scripture, plan class retreats, and find new ways to be creative in getting our student body fired up about our Catholic faith.
What's one thing that stands out about your school?
I believe how much of a community and family we are at Marian is something unique and special. Walking down the halls, you will be greeted by friendly students and teachers and the homey atmosphere is one of my favorite things about my school. It's like a home away from home and I'll miss that next year.
What extracurricular do you wish your school had?
This is hard because Marian has something for everyone and an endless list of activities and sports to become involved in. But I've always wanted to try gymnastics so I wish we had a gymnastics team.
What's your morning routine?
I wake up around 5:45 am, and then do my hair and makeup to get ready for school. Having a school uniform makes it easier getting dressed in the morning because my outfit is already picked out for me. Then some breakfast and coffee and I'm ready for another day of higher education.
If you could change one thing about school what would it be?
I would change the starting time to be later because I like to sleep in and am not a morning person.
What's your favorite thing to eat in the cafeteria?
I bring my own lunch to school everyday but I know the cafeteria has great Mexican food.
What's your best memory from school?
All of the great times I've had with my friends in our extracurriculars and in class together. Also, all of the great people I've met in high school, all of the teachers that have inspired me, and all of the awesome opportunities I've had in these four years.
