New Lenox Lions Club donates $1,000 to library

The New Lenox Lions Club presented a $1,000 check to the New Lenox Public Library District Board of Trustees on Monday, June 13. New Lenox Lions Club President Lisa Kline presented the check, which will be used to purchase large print books, during the board meeting.
New Lenox Public Library Director Kate Hall said the donation is wonderful because the large print book collection is used often.
"We have a lot of people with low vision, and they go straight to the large print," she said. "To be able to offer this is fabulous."
Hall said the library typically purchases only five titles a month for the large print collection, but with the donation, the library can purchase 35-40 titles.
